Meritus Now Operations Coordinator

Meritus Health is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Meritus NOW Operations Coordinator to support the delivery of exceptional virtual healthcare services. This role combines clinical, operational, technical, and patient service responsibilities to ensure a seamless experience for both virtual and in-person patient care. The Operations Coordinator serves as a key liaison between patients, providers, clinical teams, support departments, and external healthcare partners. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, possess excellent communication and multitasking skills, and be passionate about delivering outstanding patient care. Patient Support & Care Coordination * Assist patients with registration, insurance verification, MyChart support, questionnaires, payment collection, and appointment scheduling. * Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and provider-directed patient care activities. * Support continuity of care through effective communication and care navigation. Clinical & Operational Support * Review upcoming patient appointments to ensure readiness and appropriateness. * Room patients and assist with visit preparation. * Manage in-basket and MyChart messages in a timely manner. * Perform charge reconciliation and maintain workqueue accuracy. * Support efficient virtual and in-person clinical workflows. Communication & Collaboration * Communicate with patients through in-person interactions, telephone, email, virtual platforms, and Epic chat. * Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, pharmacies, insurance companies, physician practices, and other healthcare partners. * Promote a positive, patient-centered healthcare experience. Team Support * Assist with onboarding and orientation of new team members. * Provide guidance on workflows, systems, and operational processes. * Participate in departmental initiatives and additional duties as assigned. Education * High School Diploma or GED required. * Education appropriate to licensure or certification requirements. Experience * Minimum one (1) year of experience in a healthcare environment required. Licensure/Certification * Must be a licensed LPN or certified Medical Assistant (MA). * Current Maryland licensure or certification required. Skills & Abilities * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent computer proficiency and technical aptitude. * Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Strong organizational and customer service skills. * Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred. * Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and teams.
