Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management: recruit, train, and develop a motivated team; foster a positive work environment; set clear goals and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance. Sales & Performance: drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achievement of sales targets. Operational Excellence: oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance; ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations. Financial Management: manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth. Marketing & Community Engagement: implement local marketing initiatives and build strong community relationships to enhance brand presence. Innovation & Problem‑Solving: stay current with industry trends and competitor activities; identify improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions. Additional duties and projects as required. Qualifications Experience: proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team. Leadership Skills: strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Customer‑Centric: passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences. Analytical Skills: ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data‑driven decisions. Flexibility: willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Tech‑Savvy: proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications. Minimum Requirements Assistant Store Manager Open availability, including hours necessary to open and close the store (mornings, days, nights). Minimum standard work week of 5 days. Averaged 44 hours per week, increased during peak sales periods (e.g., Holiday, Back‑to‑School). Supervisor Availability during hours necessary to open and close the store (mornings, days, nights). Minimum of 5 days of availability. Minimum standard of a 30‑hour work week. All Management Availability on weekends and holidays. Punctuality and regular attendance consistent with the company’s policies. Reliable transportation. Clear spoken English for customer interaction and supervision. Reading, writing, and basic math in English for business operations and reporting. Possible relocation within the company’s network for operational needs and career growth. Physical Demands Prolonged standing for 5–14 hours per day. During peak sale periods, work long periods up to a 12‑hour day. Stoop, kneel, reach, and pull to place merchandise; lift items weighing 5–25 lbs regularly (higher in some circumstances). Climb ladders or ascend/descend stairs for stock acquisition. Require good vision, including color differentiation. Work environment is moderately noisy. Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
