Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile, detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to join our team in Doraville, GA. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a wide range of logistics and warehouse dutiesincluding material handling, forklift operation, shipping and receiving, cycle counts, and custom crate/pallet assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling & Forklift Operation:
• Safely load, unload, stack, move, and store materials manually and using a 6k forklift or other material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the distribution center.
• Shipping, Receiving & Packaging:
• Pack, seal, band, and properly mark/label crates, packages, and containers according to specifications.
• Serve as the primary back-up for the Shipping Coordinator, helping schedule and manage incoming/outgoing loads using the Trello system.
• Inventory Control:
• Conduct routine inventory tracking, cycle counts, and audits.
• Enter, update, and maintain inventory and production records in warehouse database systems.
• Assembly & Carpentry Tasks:
• Construct and repair custom wood boxes, crates, pallets, and storage bins.
• Review specifications, measure, mark, and cut lumber using patterns, templates, rulers, pencils, and hand/power saws.
• Compliance & Support:
• Understand and adhere to site Distribution Management Plans, ISO Certification standards, and safety/regulatory policies.
• Perform other related warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience, including general supply operations, material handling, and shipping/receiving.
• Proven experience with custom packaging, crating, or basic wood construction/power tool usage is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic computer skills with entry-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Familiarity with inventory software or digital scheduling tools (e.g., Trello) is a plus.
• Certifications & Licensing:
• Must be able to pass a required medical physical exam to safely operate a 6k forklift.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic setting.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to engage in frequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting/moving of goods and containers.
• Comfortable working in an open warehouse environment subject to varying weather and seasonal temperature fluctuations (including heat, humidity, and cold).
