Material Handler

Material Handler Department: Distribution Center Operations Employment Type: Full Time Location: Dallas, TX Description The Material Handler performs production replenishments of parts and supplies accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities Responsible for picking orders for production and delivering those orders to the appropriate department in a timely manner Operates a handheld scanner to scan barcodes and accurately delivers materials to the production floor Reviews pick list and picks appropriate material for specific work centers Operates forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment Responsible for daily inspection of forklifts and performs on-spot checking Performs daily cycle count checks and accurately report resultsResponsible for putting away incoming material to appropriate stocking locations Maintains and organizes warehouse storage including pallet consolidation and cleanliness of aisles Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor. Performs other duties as directed Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Outstanding organization and documentation skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Prioritize and complete a variety of task in a timely manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess strong commitment to team environment while working well with others Knowledge of company products in terms of part numbers and production drop zone routes and locations Well-versed in warehouse, shipping, and receiving functions Ability to safely drive a forklift and picker Familiar with delivery methods such as Fed Ex, UPS, or freight truck Proficient in Data Entry Knowledge of operating lift trucks, side loaders, pallet trucks, and other loading/stacking equipment Solid understanding of mathematics Proficient in Warehouse Management System, AS400, and CP scanner Qualifications: High School Diploma 6+ months of warehouse experience Job Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision and FSA are available 30 days following your start date 401k with company match is available after 90 days of employment Company-provided Life Insurance is provided for you 1st of the month after 90 days of employment 3 PTO days after 60 days of employment (hourly and non-exempt positions only) 2 weeks of vacation after 6 months of employment 10 paid holidays - including your birthday!
