This opportunity is designed for nurses who prefer evening/night schedules, with available shifts such as 12PM-12AM or 2 PM–2 AM schedules.Experienced PICC nurses are welcome to apply (Per Diem or Full-Time).As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. If you are looking for a change and tired of 12 hours on your feet or rushing from patient to patient with no time to provide quality care, this would be the perfect opportunity for you.As a VTP Vascular Access Nurse Consultant you will:Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidanceUtilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmationAssist with management of PICCs and Vascular Access devices.Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including but not limited to port access, removal of lines, declotting, etc.Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD'sEligible for $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment, based on prior vascular access experience.SchedulingIn this role, Consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and therefore must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs.This position offers evening/night scheduling opportunities, with current scheduling needs including shifts such as 12PM-12AM or 2 PM–2 AM shifts.Full-time scheduling requirements include three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation. Part-time (Per Diem) scheduling requirements include a minimum of 4 scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.Training and Experience RequirementsIdeal candidates are experienced in both ultrasound guided IV (USGIV) placements and vascular access device (VAD) insertions.Training available in some locations for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience.Priority given to fully trained vascular access nurses, but additional training available for those with strong USGIV skills.Required QualificationsRegistered Nurse with current licenseAmerican Heart BLS CertificationExperience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshootingExperience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classificationValid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sitesMust possess a smart phoneMust LOVE vascular access!Preferred QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of acute care RN experienceExperience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasoundPrior vascular access or PICC experience preferredCompensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.Hourly Pay Range$50 - $70 USDWhy Join VTP?
