Work Environment

The role is situated in a vibrant and supportive workplace located in Oakland, California. You will be joining an accomplished team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care. The work schedule spans from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a stable work-life balance while meeting the growing demands of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions and functional capabilities, establishing treatment objectives.
• Implement individualized treatment plans utilizing diverse methodologies, including exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and functional training.
• Efficiently manage a caseload of one patient per hour, providing dedicated attention to each individual's rehabilitation goals.
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards, utilizing EMR systems such as WebPT.
• Regularly communicate with patients about their treatment progress and make adjustments to their care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to enhance patient care and treatment effectiveness.
• Motivate patients to adhere to their rehabilitation protocols and promote a proactive approach to their recovery journey.
• Advocate for non-invasive treatment modalities, aiming to minimize reliance on medications and unnecessary surgeries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Meridian Shine, we primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries. Our clientele includes a diverse demographic, which may involve both athletic populations and everyday individuals striving to regain mobility and strength after surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Your expertise will directly influence their recovery trajectory, enabling them to achieve their physical health goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California, with a record clear of any board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the creation of tailored exercise programs specific to patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as WebPT is a plus, enhancing efficiency in patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a track record of successful patient treatment outcomes.
• Experience in promoting health and wellness initiatives, demonstrating leadership within a patient care team.
• Knowledge of current best practices in rehabilitation therapy and commitment to continual learning in the field.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
