Maintenance Assistant / Janitor - 6107US:CA:San Diego | Housekeeping & Laundry | Full Time, Hourly, 36+ hours a week19.00 - 21.00 USD per hourPosted a week agoDescriptionWesley Palms Retirement Community is Hiring!Maintenance Assistant / JanitorFull Time: Wednesday - Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday and Tuesday off)Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hourSummary:Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor, keeps premises of the facility, apartment houses, residential homes and other buildings on company grounds in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.Competencies and skills: Essential: Must be able to organize thoughts in a clear manner, effective oral and written communication skills; must possess public speaking skills; must be an active listener and possess conflict resolution/problem solving skills. Knowledge of the aging process and its effect on our residents Knowledge of the basic services provided by residential and skilled nursing facilities and other community agencies, ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Knowledge of community resources available Knowledge and ability to train and to supervise other social service staff and volunteers as needed. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to present concise and meaningful reports, both verbally and in writing.
