About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to spearhead the growth strategy and expand market reach within the North American travel agency community. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and executing a high-impact strategy to identify, engage, and onboard travel agency members that align with the company's tech-forward vision. This role requires a deep analysis of various agency market segments to uncover opportunities and drive member acquisition. The VP will also be tasked with clearly communicating the company's value proposition, driving engagement through compelling initiatives, and fostering long-term relationships with agency leaders and industry influencers. Candidates for this role should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or commercial leadership within the travel industry or related sectors. A well-established network within the North American travel agency community is essential, as is a proven track record of driving agency acquisition strategies that result in measurable revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, a strategic thinker, and possess the presence and charisma to influence senior leaders and industry stakeholders. Experience in representing an organization at industry events and a strong understanding of the travel agency landscape, including various business models, are also key requirements. The role is suited to individuals who are motivated by results, energized by building new functions, and are adept at problem-solving in a fast-changing, high-growth environment.
