We are looking for a skilled accounting assistant to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner as well as other accounting support tasks. We are a multi-company/multi-state management company and are looking forward to hearing from you! Salary is based on experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data
• Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
• Bank reconciliations
• Assist with sales & use taxes, property taxes, and payroll taxes
• Assisting with Payroll processing

Skills

• Proven working experience as accounts payable clerk (or accounts receivable clerk)
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Payroll processing using Quickbooks

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with increasing levels of responsibility
• Quickbooks experience a plus
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Work schedule

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Day shift
