Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager/Director; supervise assigned nursing and ancillary staff.
- Direct and coordinate care planning with physicians, patients, and families; revise care plans as needed.
- Monitor care delivery to ensure safety, quality, and patient outcomes; direct and support bedside nursing activities.
- Participate in direct patient care as needed; perform rounds to assess patient needs and introduce self to patients and families.
- Foster patient- and family-centered care, addressing cultural diversity and individual preferences; contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance; support EPIC-based charting and care coordination across the continuum.

Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of RN clinical experience; at least 2 years in a supervisory/charge nurse role
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NRP or NALS required; Fetal Heart Monitoring required
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Ability to work a night shift in a high-acuity acute care setting
