Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN), L&D, San Luis Obispo, CA | Start 09/14/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,646–$2,872 per week | Guaranteed 36 hours per week | Night shift (3x12) 7:00 PM–7:30 AM in a short-term acute care setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, with attention to fetal and maternal status and family support.
- Assess and manage perinatal emergencies, including rapid response for events such as crash C-sections, precipitous deliveries, and shoulder dystocia; circulating for C-sections as needed.
- Manage pain control during labor and assist with epidural catheter placement; monitor maternal and fetal status before and after medication administration.
- Develop and implement multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans in collaboration with the health care team; educate patients and families at all stages of perinatal care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation (EPIC) and conduct ongoing fetal monitoring; supervise and delegate appropriately to ancillary staff within scope of practice.
- Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and unit policies while providing compassionate, family-centered care.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or AWHONN certification
- Additional: EPIC electronic medical record experience required
