Senior Director, Access & Reimbursement

Senior Director, Access & Reimbursement Manager – West Pacific Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on treating metabolic dysfunction‑associated steatohepatitis (MASH). We seek a seasoned leader to manage a regional team of Access and Reimbursement Managers (ARMs) and drive patient access to our specialty product, Rezdiffra, across endocrinology practices. Responsibilities Lead and develop a regional team of ARMs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Provide coaching and development to ARMs, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop and execute strategies to optimize access and reimbursement for Rezdiffra. Monitor regional and national access trends, proactively addressing barriers. Implement innovative solutions relevant to the market and drive their execution. Partner with internal stakeholders—including Trade, Market Access, Thought Leader Liaisons, Sales, and Analytics—to align on access strategies. Serve as the key point of contact for escalated issues related to patient access and reimbursement, resolving challenges with ARMs and other stakeholders. Build strong relationships with endocrinology offices, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all access and reimbursement activities. Track and report team performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions. Oversee the development of tools and resources that support ARMs in their day‑to‑day responsibilities. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or related) preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in access, reimbursement, patient support, or related pharmaceutical/healthcare roles. Proven experience leading and coaching high‑performing teams. In‑depth knowledge of pharmacy benefit structures, specialty products, and endocrinology practices is a strong plus. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Willingness to travel 50–70% within the assigned region. Key Competencies Strong coaching and mentoring abilities. Strategic thinker capable of executing in a fast‑paced environment. Benefits & Compensation Base salary range: $247,000 – $302,000 per year. Equity award for all full‑time employees.
