Provide strategic advice to the executive management team on financial planning and performance. Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the preparation and management of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with operational plans. Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cash flow analyses, and balance sheets for internal and external stakeholders. Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for improvement in financial performance across divisions. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with departmental heads to develop financial models and performance metrics that support long-term strategic planning. Monitor industry trends and economic conditions to inform strategic decisions. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax obligations and industry-specific regulations for hospitality. Establish and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks and protect company assets. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow management to ensure adequate liquidity, effective working capital management, and optimal funding strategies. Work with the Controller to streamline accounts receivable and payable processes for improved cash management. Investment Management: Analyze and evaluate potential investment opportunities, acquisitions, and financing arrangements in line with company goals. Manage relationships with financial institutions and external stakeholders. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Encourage collaboration between finance and operational teams to increase financial literacy and performance. Performance Measurement: Develop and implement KPIs and performance metrics that align with the company's strategic objectives. Regularly report on financial health and operational performance to the executive team and board of directors. 1 10. IT Oversight: Provide leadership and strategic direction for the IT department. Supervise the IT Manager, who reports directly to the Director of Finance, ensuring alignment between technology investments and company objectives. Oversee IT budgeting, infrastructure planning, and data security compliance. Requirements Education, Skills & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA designation is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within the hospitality or service industry. Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. IT Management: Experience in overseeing IT operations, including knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems integration, and technology project management.
