Salary Range: $56.66 - $70.12 per hour

Pay Transparency:

This reflects the expected hourly wage range for this role in New Jersey.

The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and professional experience.

Sign-On Bonus: $12,000

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will support the nuclear physician in executing specialized imaging procedures.

Required:

• Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Possession of a valid New Jersey State license.
• Certification from ARRT and/or NMTCB.
• Current BLS certification.

Preferred:

• At least two years of experience as a staff technologist in a hospital setting.
• NMTCB Fusion Certification or ARRT R, CT certification.

• This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week during the day.

• Adhere to standards set by the hospital and relevant regulatory agencies.
• Complete special assignments from the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Assist the nuclear physician with specialized imaging procedures.
• Ensure all tests are conducted accurately and results are validated before patient release.
• Calibrate the dose calibrator and perform quality control on gamma cameras according to departmental protocols, promptly reporting any issues to the lead technologist.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, including expected wait times, while ensuring their comfort during the process. Capture optimal images using prescribed techniques.
• Verify patient identities (both inpatient and outpatient) in accordance with hospital SOP before initiating any procedures.
• Conduct all hot lab functions, including the handling of radiopharmaceuticals, in strict compliance with vendor, departmental, and DEP regulations.
