Position Phlebotomist 5314 Location Yakima, WA Schedule 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, schedule to be finalized. Responsibilities Experience doing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection. Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens as required. Ensure specimens stored at correct temperature and labeled accurately. Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings. Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results for inquiries. Minimum Qualifications Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state (as required). Minimum 6 months of experience performing venipunctures in a fast‑paced lab or hospital setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. High school diploma or GED.
