Assistant Director Of Sales

Director of Sales We're searching for a director of sales who is motivated to help our busy hotel meet its sales targets. You will be in charge of developing our sales strategy and revenue objectives, training and assessing our sales employees, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business across various hotel sectors. Responsibilities Deliver previous and upcoming week's sales activity reports, as well as monthly sales expense reports, and meet with department managers to keep them up to date on all hotel sales-related expenses. Boost revenue and increase new guest visits through strategic outbound sales efforts that may include phone solicitation to local professionals, corporations, and members of your personal network. Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast. Implement a strategic plan that aligns with revenue management and hotel objectives to assist the sales staff in meeting and exceeding room booking goals. Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers. Associate Director of Sales Responsibilities Manage and lead the sales staff as well as manage select key accounts with a focus on transient business and business travel. Mentor and train sales staff; recruit and hire sales staff. Lead sales meetings; work with catering and convention services. Involve in the annual business plan process; forecast; attend owners' meetings; provide systems training; analyze reports. Manage P&L; business travel and tradeshows; customer entertainment; community involvement; networking. Serve as Director in the absence of the Director of Sales. Qualifications Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead generation and closing. Exemplary communication, leadership and analytical skills. Preferably prior hospitality experience though not required. 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
