Cashier/Stocker - Palo Alto

About the Role Piazza's Fine Foods, an upscale, family‑owned grocery store, is looking for a part‑time checker/stocker to join our grocery department. Responsibilities Operate the cash register and checkout stand to provide accurate and efficient service to customers. Perform a cash audit of the assigned cash drawer at the start and end of each shift. Add up or record customer purchases efficiently and accurately. Assist in training new checkers as needed. Stock shelves, including facing product and putting out new items. Learn and memorize store codes (produce, deli, etc.) and stay updated on new products. Clean bathrooms and take out trash as required. Qualifications Maintain positive working relationships with management and coworkers. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Understand and follow directions in oral, written, or diagram form. Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, stand, bend, reach, twist, and turn for up to 4 hours continuously. Have full availability to work weekends and holidays. Must be 18 years old and up. Benefits 20% discount on purchases throughout the store.
