Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

A growing legal practice is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its Houston office. The ideal candidate will have experience defending first-party insurance claims and litigation , with a strong background in homeowners insurance matters . Key Responsibilities Defend first-party insurance claims and related litigation. Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation. Analyze claims, legal issues, and case strategies. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts. Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents. Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials as needed. Maintain accurate case files and meet all deadlines. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Texas and good standing with the state bar. Experience in first-party insurance defense litigation. Experience defending homeowners insurance litigation preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and advocacy abilities. Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
