Assign work, balance staffing, and communicate shift priorities and expectations. Train and coach employees on operating procedures, safe work practices, and product specifications. Enforce GMPs, sanitation procedures, HACCP requirements, and applicable USDA standards. Monitor productivity, product yields, labor utilization, waste, and downtime. Partner with Quality Assurance to address food safety concerns and product deviations. Coordinate with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues and minimize interruptions. Maintain accurate production, attendance, training, and safety records. Identify improvements that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen team performance. Promote a respectful workplace and address employee concerns consistently. Qualifications Previous production leadership experience in food manufacturing; poultry or meat processing experience preferred. Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety requirements. Strong employee coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience managing staffing, production priorities, and performance expectations. Ability to work in a refrigerated food processing environment. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
