Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Architect to join our team and take responsibility for designing and implementing robust and efficient network solutions for our non-cloud infrastructure. The Network Architect will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our network infrastructure. As a Network Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system needs, and develop comprehensive network designs. Your expertise in network protocols, hardware, and infrastructure will be instrumental in delivering high-performance networks that meet the organization's current and future requirements.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement network architectures for non-cloud infrastructure, considering scalability, performance, and security requirements.
• Analyze business needs and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for network infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed network design specifications and documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and implementation plans.
• Evaluate and select appropriate network hardware, software, and protocols based on the organization's needs and industry best practices.
• Configure and optimize network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to ensure efficient and secure network operations.
• Collaborate with the operations team to oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and security vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular network performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure optimal network performance and availability.
• Stay up to date with emerging network technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other IT systems and applications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and administrators.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and select network-related products and services.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 15+ years relevant experience as a Network Architect working in an enterprise environment
• CCNA is required; CCNP or a similar certification is preferred
• Proficient knowledge and configuration experience of Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies including BGP, MPLS, VPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, QoS, 802.1x and Radius
• Hands on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
• Hands on experience configuring and troubleshooting ACL’s, NAT/PAT, DMZ, LAN 2 LAN IPsec/client access VPN
• Experience with management protocols and network performance monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, syslog, SNMP, netflow, and MRTG
• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills; proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and perform effectively in a deadline driven environment
• Experience generating both internal and client facing documentation and diagrams with the ability to effectively communicate such work
• Excellent and thorough understanding of network architecture and design concepts (LAN/WAN)
• Ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as needed
• Ability to travel both domestic and abroad
