CA - Special Event Security Officer (San Diego, CA) Position Details
What We're Looking For We are looking for officers who are professional, reliable, and team-oriented. Successful candidates must be comfortable working around large crowds, maintaining a strong security presence, and providing excellent customer service during a major convention. - Position: Special Event Security Officer
- Location: San Diego, CA
- Event Dates: July 21 - July 27, 2026
- Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour (DOE)
- Employment Type: Temporary / Event-Based
- Uniform: Black tactical pants, black shoes, uniform shirt provided on site
- Shift Times: Vary based on assignment
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the convention venue
- Provide access control and credential verification as assigned
- Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and assigned posts
- Assist guests, vendors, staff, and event personnel with directions and general information
- Monitor crowd activity and report safety or security concerns
- Enforce event policies and venue procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, event staff, and fellow officers
- Complete incident reports and daily activity reports as required
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or requests for assistance
- Valid California Guard Card (Required)
- Previous security, convention, customer service, or special event experience preferred
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced event environment
