• Position: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Internal Medicine
• Location: Natick, MA 01760
• Setting: Inpatient consult service with emergency department (ED) coverage and inpatient rounding
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Coverage: Full-time locum tenens coverage required
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift
• Weekly Pay: $3,270 - $3,880 estimated weekly pay
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Approximately 11 weeks
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
• On-Site: Yes, in-person coverage required

Job Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license and advanced practice provider credentials
• At least 1 year of experience preferred in internal medicine, inpatient medicine, hospital medicine, or a similar adult care setting
• Experience working with adult patient populations only
• Ability to provide medical consults and inpatient rounding in a hospital setting
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort managing common adult medical issues such as rashes, sore throats, diabetes, and medication consults
• Ability to collaborate with social workers, nurses, physicians, and mid-level providers
• Telehealth is not available; on-site presence is required

Responsibilities

• Provide internal medicine consults for adult inpatients
• Evaluate and manage non-behavioral medical concerns in an inpatient psychiatric unit
• Support ED coverage and inpatient rounding as needed
• Assess and treat common medical issues, including sore throats, rashes, diabetes management, and medication-related concerns
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure timely, high-quality patient care
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Deliver consistent weekday coverage in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
