If you join Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in this position, you will assist our Manufacturing Operations Organization as an Aircraft Electrician Level 2 an d Level 3 supporting our Palmdale site . Essential Functions: Electrical assembly andwire harness installation Checks, tests, andtroubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to specifications andperformrepair, removal, andreinstallation of wiring as necessary Cuts wire to length, strips insulation from wire ends, andinsulates connections with plastic sleeves Attaches wire or complicatedelectrical systems to fixtures andaccessoriessuch astransformers, instrument panels, andswitchboards with fasteners (bolts, screws, or solder) Maymonitorandverify qualityin accordance withstatistical process or other control procedures Able to obtain half &full-facerespirator certification Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls andsystems Use ofappropriate PPEwhen working on the shop floor Recommendandimplement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipmentperformanceandteam effectiveness Basic Qualifications: Aircraft Electrician Level 2 High Schooldiploma or GED 2 years' electrical experience in an aerospace, automotive, military,manufacturingand/or maintenance environment This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physicalandrepetitious work toincludebending, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, squatting, crawling, twisting, carrying tools, lifting to35poundsandworking with arms overhead Must be able to accesssmall, confinedspaces andwork in an enclosedenvironment Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluationtoobtain andmaintainnecessary respirator clearance andcompliance with allrespiratorsfitting requirements Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical prior tostarting The ability to work 1st "5 AM - 3:30 PM" or 2nd shift "4:12 PM - 2:42 AM" and any work schedule Ability to obtain andmaintainaGovernmentSecret orTop-SecretClearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonableperiod, asdeterminedbythe company to meet its business needs.US citizenshiprequiredfor clearance The ability toutilizea computer for basic functions (including navigating through windows operating systems, getting online, executing online training modules andability to be trainedusing onthe job software) Must successfully complete andpass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonableperiod, asdefinedby the company to meet its business need Aircraft Electrician Level 3 High School diploma or GED 5 years' electrical experience in an aerospace, automotive, military,manufacturingand/or maintenance environment This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work toincludebending, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, squatting, crawling, twisting, carrying tools, lifting to35poundsand working with arms overhead Must be able to accesssmall, confinedspaces and work in an enclosed environment Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluationtoobtain andmaintainnecessary respirator clearance and compliance with allrespiratorsfitting requirements Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical prior tostarting The ability to work 1st "5 AM - 3:30 PM" or 2nd shift "4:12 PM - 2:42 AM" and any work schedule Ability to obtain andmaintainaGovernmentSecret orTop-SecretClearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonableperiod, asdeterminedby the company to meet its business needs.US citizenshiprequiredfor clearance The ability toutilizea computer for basic functions (including navigating through windows operating systems, getting online, executing online training modules and ability to be trainedusing onthe job software) Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonableperiod, as defined by the company to meet its business need Preferred Qualifications: Electrical experience in an aerospace environment Completion of A&P certificate program ActiveGovernmentsecret clearance with an investigation date/periodic review within the last 6 years Primary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $61,100.00 - $101,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
