Day/Swing Shift DSP; Thursday - Saturday; 1030am - 830pm; 30****hours per week; full-time and great benefits too!!**We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help empower individuals with disabilities to live more independent, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on assistance, emotional support, and community involvement while promoting dignity, respect, and personal choice every day.DSPs play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve their goals, build confidence, and participate fully in their communities. Our DSPs play a foundational role in delivering CSI’s services across the Portland area.**What you will do as a Direct Support Professional (DSP):**Ultimately, the goal is to help the people you support, feel and become as independent as possible, while they live their daily lives. Among other things, you will:* Support people with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, household routines, and community inclusion and engagement.* Encourage choice, decision-making, and confidence in everyday activities.* Assist individuals in developing life skills that promote greater independence.* Build positive, respectful relationships based on dignity and person-centered support.* Help create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments at home and in the community.* Promote participation in social, recreational, and community activities.* Follow and help to implement individualized support plans and document progress.* Communicate effectively with families, team members, and other professionals to ensure consistent supports.* Provide encouragement while respecting each person’s goals, preferences, and abilities.* Ensure daily documentation and record keeping is completed in an accurate and timely manner.* Comply with all applicable regulations, organizational policies, and procedures related to providing services and support to individuals with disabilities.**CSI strives to make a positive impact on our DSP’s lives by offering:*** Competitive Pay including Paid Training (First Aid/CPR, Med Admin, ongoing learning opportunities).* 7 paid holidays per year* Paid Time Off – Vacation and Sick Time* 401k with Employer Match up to 4%* Benefits including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, pet insurance, and other supplemental coverages.* Employee Assistance Program (EAP), ie; mental health counseling, as well as other supports tailored to those who are caregivers, plus goal setting and financial planning too.* HRA – Health Reimbursement Arrangement (minimizes out of pocket medical expenses).## Minimum Qualifications**Minimum qualifications:*** Must be 18 years of age* No experience, don’t worry – we’ll train you!* Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
