About the Role

The chosen candidate will be instrumental in overseeing hospitalized neurosurgery patients, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to guarantee smooth care coordination and outstanding patient results. The focus of this position is primarily on inpatient care , with opportunities to engage in outpatient activities for continuity and professional development.

Main Responsibilities:

• Deliver thorough inpatient care, which includes daily rounds, progress documentation, and discharge planning .

• Conduct Emergency Department and inpatient consultations, admissions, and discharges .

• Order and analyze laboratory tests and imaging studies.

• Handle inquiries from acute care floors, inpatient nursing staff, therapists, and clinical teams .

• Support multidisciplinary care coordination and educate patients and families.

• Effectively communicate with outpatient teams to ensure seamless transitions in care.

• Provide care that aligns with clinical quality, safety, and patient experience standards.

• Perform procedures within the scope of practice as necessary.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.

LICENSURES & CERTIFICATIONS:

• PA - Physician Assistant
• CSRC - Controlled Substance Registered Certification (DEA)
• BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• Other certifications as required by the department.

EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience in surgical or neurosurgery settings is highly preferred.
