Merchandising Lead

Position Summary: This role focuses on delivering excellent member service, supervising associates, managing inventory and merchandise presentation, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting operational excellence within the Sam's Club retail environment. Responsibilities Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, providing guidance and support, and assisting with purchasing decisions. Assist management with supervising associates: assign duties, communicate goals and feedback, train on processes, and support the Open Door Policy. Receive and stock supplies and merchandise, organize the sales floor, complete paperwork logs, and maintain sales‑floor presentation in line with company policies. Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift and hazardous‑materials procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions. Handle merchandise claims and returns, zone and stock merchandise, set up displays, remove damaged goods, sign and price products, and identify shrink or damages. Monitor food and merchandise quality: enforce rotation, code‑dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards across all departments. Oversee picking and staging of club pickup orders, ensuring items are selected and staged correctly. Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners, and identifying improvement opportunities. Promote compliance with company policies, ethics, and safety standards, and assist management in correcting ethical and compliance issues. Lead and participate in teams, coordinate and execute work assignments, provide advice, feedback, and support to meet timelines and quality goals. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. At least 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a team and supervising staff, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workload. Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage range: $21.00 to $29.00. Additional premiums: $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
