Institutional Research Analyst

The mission of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is the development of professional health care practitioners through innovation, individualized, and quality classroom, clinical, and distance education.

The Institutional Research Analyst supports institutional planning, decision-making, accreditation, and regulatory reporting by collecting, validating, analyzing, and communicating institutional data. The analyst works with data from multiple systems; produces recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analysis; documents methods and definitions; and collaborates with academic and administrative units to promote accurate, consistent, and responsible use of information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Retrieve, integrate, validate, and analyze data from the student information system, customer relationship management system, survey platforms, course evaluation systems, and other institutional sources.
• Prepare accurate and timely recurring and ad hoc reports for institutional leaders, academic programs, administrative units, and other authorized data users.
• Support federal, state, institutional, and programmatic accreditation reporting by compiling data, applying required definitions, documenting methodology, and completing quality-control reviews.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, tables, charts, and data visualizations that make findings understandable and useful to varied audiences.
• Administer institutional surveys, including survey design support, deployment, response monitoring, data preparation, analysis, and reporting.
• Analyze enrollment, retention, graduation, licensure, student success, and other performance data as assigned.
• Interpret findings, identify meaningful patterns or data-quality concerns, and communicate limitations and implications clearly in written and oral formats.
• Respond to approved data requests in accordance with institutional definitions, reporting standards, privacy requirements, and established timelines.
• Conduct data-quality checks, reconcile discrepancies, and collaborate with data owners and system users to resolve issues and improve data collection and reporting processes.
• Maintain assigned OAIR content, files, and resources in Teams/SharePoint or other approved systems.
• Monitor relevant higher education research, reporting requirements, and emerging practices, and apply current guidance to assigned work.
• Manage multiple assignments, communicate progress or risks promptly, and meet established reporting deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Reviews information from multiple sources, evaluates data quality and methodological requirements, selects appropriate analytical approaches, and presents findings for different audiences. Escalates material discrepancies, ambiguous definitions, privacy concerns, and risks to reporting accuracy or deadlines.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in social science, data analytics, statistics, education, business, information systems, or a related field required.
• At least two years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis, reporting, institutional research, or a related function required. Relevant graduate education may substitute for a portion of the experience.
• Experience in higher education, accreditation, regulatory reporting, or student outcomes analysis preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.
