As an Admissions Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our customers and families. Responsibilities: Assess inquiries when necessary and respond to referrers based on protocol, communicating admission decisions and ensuring a positive admission experience for customers and families. Ensure an immediate response to phone, fax, and walk-in inquiries and referrals, notifying the Administrator as needed. Coordinate tours and sales processes with customers, families, and referrers, either personally or through an Admissions Designee. Conduct follow-up on all inquiries that have not yet been converted to admissions. Identify, train, and schedule customer service representatives. Ensure proper completion, signing, and distribution of paperwork in accordance with Admission Sign-In policy and procedure. Meet with families and customers upon admission, ensuring appropriate preparation of rooms and introductions to nursing staff on units. Maintain thorough knowledge of medical, social, and financial information relating to elder care. Work with the Administrator and appropriate staff to ensure consistent, effective admissions, discharge, and transfer meetings. Review performance statistics, including customer flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials, hospital discharges, and sales activity. Facilitate sales opportunities for referring hospitals by identifying, initiating, nurturing, and maintaining contact with physicians, social workers, discharge planners, and other professionals. Stay abreast of services available within the facility to serve as a liaison with hospital discharge planners, utilization review nurses, physicians, and other professionals. Provide information to referral sources regarding customers' progress, adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Requirements: At least 1 year of Admissions experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
