About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, NIH Description: Unit Information: The unit has a total of 36 beds. There are 40 staff members working on the unit. The typical staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 CNAs, and 1 HUC during the day shift. The night shift typically has 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1 HUC. Patient ratios are 5:1 or 6:1 during the day shift and can stretch to 7:1 during the night shift. Standard medical-surgical equipment is used. The electronic medical record system in place is Cerner. Skill Set: Candidates must possess ACLS and NIH certifications. Neuro experience is preferred but not required. Typical procedures performed on the unit include Foley insertion and IV starts. The ideal personality fit is outgoing and self-motivated. Float areas include other medical-surgical floors. The standard dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Weekend availability is required every other weekend. New staff are provided with a reference book at the start of their contract.
