Job Title Technical Business Analyst (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite) Location Houston, TX (Candidates must be local to the Houston area) Experience Level 5–8 Years Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our enterprise technology team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring strategic environmental, logistics, and sustainability business objectives are effectively translated into scalable, enterprise-level technical solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical, technical, and communication skills to drive business process improvements, support enterprise initiatives, and deliver measurable value across our technology ecosystems. You will perform advanced business process analysis, requirements gathering, and assessments to recommend technology solutions that align with strategic business goals. The successful candidate will excel at bridging the gap between business and technical teams, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and driving successful project outcomes across complex enterprise environments. Core Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Management: Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements. Define project scope, business objectives, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications. Conduct gap assessments and cost-benefit evaluations for new technical initiatives. Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between internal business units and technical teams. Facilitate requirements for workshops, stakeholder meetings, and solution review sessions. Communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations to leadership. Solution Delivery & SDLC Support: Translate business needs into user stories and detailed solution requirements. Collaborate closely with development teams throughout the Agile/SDLC lifecycle to ensure successful solution delivery. Track requirements, dependencies, risks, and change requests. Testing & Quality Assurance: Partner with QA teams to develop test plans and validate business requirements. Coordinate system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), guiding business users through testing activities to ensure final products meet operational standards. Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain accurate project documentation, requirements repositories, and process artifacts. Evaluate implemented solutions to ensure quality, efficiency, and alignment with enterprise objectives. Required Qualifications & Technical Skills Technical Toolset: Proficiency with SQL for data extraction and analysis, Jira (and Confluence) for requirements tracking and user story management, and Tableau for data visualization and insight presentation. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Experience: 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT and enterprise technology projects. Methodologies: Proven, strong experience working in Agile environments is strictly required. Robust knowledge of the SDLC, system integrations, and software delivery methodologies. Data Acumen: Strong data analysis experience with the ability to analyze, interpret, and present insights from business and system data. Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Location: Must be based in the Houston area and able to work in a hybrid model (4 days onsite per week at our downtown Houston location). Preferred Qualifications MBA preferred, ideally with a concentration in Finance or Accounting.
