Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity

Seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Therapeutic School team in Vernon Hills, IL. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with unique learning and healthcare needs in a collaborative educational environment.

Position Overview

As the school nurse, you will serve as the primary healthcare provider within the school's health office while delivering direct nursing support throughout the building. Students are typically seen in their classrooms or school locations rather than reporting to the health office, creating a dynamic and engaging role.

Assignment: Now through May 2027 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-3:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch + two 15-minute breaks)

Qualifications:

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License School-based or pediatric experience preferred Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and respond effectively to student health needs

What You'll Do:

• Provide daily student health services and nursing care
• Support students throughout the school building, not just the health office
• Monitor a student with diabetes and other student health needs
• Administer medications and treatments
• Collaborate with staff and families
• Attend IEP meetings as needed

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 to $45.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
