Must-Have Skills/Experience: Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Responsible and accountable for the quality care of patients while in the Imaging Department. Provides direct patient care while patients are in the Imaging Department, including monitoring the patient's condition. Observes the patient's vital signs and records them when applicable. Maintains the intravenous lines of those patients who are receiving intravenous fluids. Administers first aid and assists with patient comfort when applicable. Administers medications under the direction of a physician. Assists in various procedures in the Imaging Department. Duties require interaction with patients of various age groups, social and economic backgrounds. Maintains IV skills. Maintains emergency equipment and supplies utilized in emergency patient care. Knowledgeable concerning emergency equipment available in the Imaging Department and the placement of same within the department. Maintains the emergency equipment in proper working order. Familiar with and maintains proper drug inventory in the crash cart and emergency drug reaction kits. Acts as a liaison between the Imaging Department and the patient care division. Responsible for proper documentation of patient records while patients are in the Imaging Department. Notifies the appropriate person concerning any adverse changes in the patient's condition or any problems encountered in patient care while patients are in the Imaging Department. Coordinates changes in Imaging policies and procedures that may affect patient care division. Performs other duties as assigned by the Imaging Director. Provides excellence in hospitality, courtesy, and compassion.

Description: This position is for an RN specializing in Interventional Radiology. The facility has a total of 269 beds and includes an IR angiosuite with 1 IR holding area. Patient ratios are 1:1 in Imaging. The department utilizes Nihonkohden patient monitors. The electronic medical record system is transitioning to a new platform in October 2024. This role requires critical care nursing skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Dress code includes surgical scrubs provided by the facility. No street clothes are allowed.
