Join Our Team as an Interventional Radiology RN!

Job Description:

- Position Information:
- Role: RN
- Specialty: Interventional Radiology
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: Days (5x8)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Weekend Hours: As needed
- Call Requirements: Yes (on rotation)

- Required Certifications:
- ACLS
- PALS
- BLS
- Certification with ARNA preferred

- Experience:
- Years of Experience: 1+
- Float Requirements: Must float as needed

- Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 269 in the hospital
- IR Suite: 1 angiosuite
- Holding Area Beds: 5
- Patient Ratios: 1-1 in Imaging
- Equipment: Nihonkohden patient monitors
- EMR: CERNER / transitioning to EPIC in October 2024

- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Imaging Department
- Monitor patients' vital signs and record observations
- Maintain intravenous lines for patients receiving fluids
- Administer first aid and assist with patient comfort
- Administer medications under physician direction
- Assist in various procedures in the Imaging department
- Interact with patients of diverse age groups and backgrounds
- Maintain IV skills and emergency equipment
- Ensure proper documentation of patient's records
- Notify appropriate personnel about any adverse patient condition changes
- Assist with patient prep for specific Imaging exams
- Provide excellence in hospitality, courtesy, and compassion

- Preferred Skillset/Experience:
- Experience with invasive and non-invasive procedures in IR suite/Ultrasound/CT/MRI/Diagnostic
- Strong critical care nursing skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure

- Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Surgical scrubs provided in the procedure area
- Unacceptable Attire: Street clothes
