Job Title CTS Cardiology Associate/Congenital Cardiac Sonographer/Pediatric Cardiology Sonographer (2602929) Position Summary At Stony Brook Medicine, a TH CTS Pediatric Cardiology Associate is a valuable member of our team who provides clinic services to our patient population. Duties Under the general supervision of the Technical Director of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography Laboratory, the TH CTS Pediatric Cardiology Associate will perform and assist in the performance of a variety of echocardiographic procedures on fetuses, infants, children and adult patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Obtain images using standard 2D, color flow, Doppler and m‑mode techniques according to the pediatric and fetal echocardiogram protocols adopted by the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. Enter charges for exams performed. Enter patient data/measurements into report worksheets. Act as a clinical resource and preceptor for new staff and students. Provide coverage as needed to satellite clinic locations. Qualifications Required: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound school program. One year experience in cardiac ultrasound. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible. Preferred: At least one year of experience in pediatric and fetal echocardiography. Experience in obstetric ultrasound. Experience with deformation imaging. Registered in Pediatric Echocardiography. Registered in Fetal Echocardiography.
