Energy Program Manager

Proposal PositionWe are seeking three Project Managers to support transmission and renewable energy project portfolio. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience managing 138 kV and 345 kV transmission projects. Candidates with renewable energy project management experience will also be considered.The Project Managers will oversee planning, execution, and delivery of transmission upgrades, substation projects, and renewable grid-integration initiatives. These roles require strong coordination with engineering teams, construction partners, utility stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.This role is onsite, located at:Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181Salary Range$95,000 – $105,000Key ResponsibilitiesTransmission Project ManagementManage end-to-end delivery of 138 kV and 345 kV transmission line and substation projects.Ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met.Oversee engineering design reviews and construction coordination.Renewable IntegrationSupport interconnection and grid-integration projects for solar, wind, and battery storage.Work with utility stakeholders to advance renewable energy deployment.Stakeholder CoordinationCollaborate closely with teams, contractors, permitting agencies, and engineering partners.Participate in design and status meetings; provide progress reporting.Compliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with utility standards, NERC requirements, and state regulatory obligations.Prepare documentation, risk assessments, and project dashboards.Required Qualifications5+ years experience in utility or energy-sector project management.Experience with 138 kV and/or 345 kV transmission systems.Strong background in engineering coordination, scheduling, and contractor oversight.Familiarity with utility standards, permitting, and safety requirements.Preferred QualificationsExperience with renewable energy or grid modernization initiatives.Experience working directly with utility stakeholdersKnowledge of transmission planning, interconnection, or substation design workflows.We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace and provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment.
