Adjunctive Therapist (Full-Time) Join Our Collaborative Team in Tempe, AZ Aurora Behavioral Health System (ABHS) is seeking experienced, certified Art Therapists, Recreational Therapists, and Music Therapists on a Per Diem/As-Needed basis in Tempe, AZ. ABHS is a freestanding psychiatric hospital offering inpatient and outpatient programs for adolescents and adults dealing with a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. Responsibilities Develop, organize, and implement comprehensive adjunctive therapy groups. Provide therapeutic interventions for both adolescent and adult patients. Interact with patients during daily routine activities consistent with principles of normal growth and development. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team. Required Qualifications Certification from an accredited organization in a creative arts/expressive therapy or recreational/leisure therapy (e.g., MT-BC, CTRS, ATR). Other nationally accepted certifications will be considered. A master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or another master's degree that is license-eligible (e.g., LPC, LCSW). Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment. Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills. Must be 21 years of age and qualify for fingerprint clearance. CPR and Therapeutic Options (TO) certification required within 30 days of hire. Preferred Experience & Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare field, preferably in inpatient psychiatric settings. Certification or expertise in Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Tai Chi, or Qigong. Understanding of, or ability to understand, DSM-5 methodology.
