Job Summary The Buyer II executes tactical and strategic procurement activities for natural gas midstream operations. This role manages medium-to-high complexity sourcing for pipeline materials and services, compressor station equipment, and specialized field services. The position ensures cost efficiency, company policy compliance, and operational support. Key Accountabilities Manage RFPs, bid evaluations, and purchase order (PO) issuance for midstream equipment and services Source critical materials and services to support project requirements and maintain operations Lead contract and price negotiations with suppliers to maximize cost savings and mitigate risk Analyze quotes received, recommend supplier based on considerations of budget, schedule, quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need. Participate on cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost effective procurement strategies Maintain internal and external alliances and partnerships with business units and suppliers to achieve ongoing cost reductions, process improvements, and best practices Take mentoring and direction from senior procurement staff as needed to implement sourcing goals Other duties as assigned Minimum Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 3 years of procurement experience, specifically within the oil and gas industry. Other Requirements: Intermediate skills in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Analytical and problem-solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions for various situations Strong written and oral communication skills; with an emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail Able to cope with multiple demands from leaders, internal clients, and external parties in a positive and even-handed fashion; displays a calm demeanor under pressure Must live within a commutable distance from the office and work in-person. #J-18808-Ljbffr DT Midstream
