MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST - VALLEY HOSPITAL (FULL-TIME)

Responsibilities Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Act as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants. Support and assist Lead Medical Technologist. Technical Skills General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities. License / Certification Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist. ASCP or equivalent board registration/education required to satisfy Nevada License requirements and must be maintained. New CLS graduates must receive certification within 6 months of hire. New graduates or applicants that do not currently have an NV license must obtain a NV state provisional license prior to hire and must obtain a permanent license upon expiration of the provisional license. Other Requirements Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately for specific age groups. Must possess people skills, organization and attention to detail. Must desire to act as a resource and provide assistance as required.
