A healthcare facility in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, is seeking a skilled inpatient pharmacist for a 13-week contract starting April 22. This role focuses on providing pharmaceutical care within a hospital inpatient setting, with shifts scheduled as four 10-hour day shifts (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) per week. Rotating weekend coverage is required, with occasional evening shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and review medications accurately in an inpatient hospital environment
• Collaborate with medical staff to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
• Manage inventory and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
• Serve as an Emergency Room pharmacist when required
• Administer immunizations according to protocols
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the role of Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
• Provide patient counseling and education on medication use

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist licensure valid in Wisconsin
• Experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy practice, including emergency room settings
• Immunization certification preferred
• Proven ability to function as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Schedule/Hours:

• 4x10-hour shifts, days (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
• Rotating weekends
