A healthcare facility in Nekoosa, WI is seeking a skilled inpatient pharmacist for a contract position lasting approximately 13 weeks. This role requires working predominantly day shifts, with the flexibility to support evening hours as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing inpatient pharmacy operations and medication dispensing
- Collaborating with medical staff in the emergency room to ensure timely pharmaceutical care
- Overseeing immunization protocols and administering vaccines as required
- Serving as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) during shifts to maintain compliance and safety standards
- Supporting clinical decision-making and patient care within the hospital inpatient setting
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotating weekend coverage
- Potential evening shift support as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Pharmacist licensure with experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy
- Proficiency in emergency room pharmacy procedures and protocols
- Ability to administer immunizations and manage vaccination initiatives
- Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
