Support Specialist

Position Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented to manage tactical supplier relations and ensure the seamless execution of the procurement process. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for confirming Purchase Orders (POs), managing past-due shipments, and facilitating expedites. By utilizing reporting tools, managing system data, and collaborating cross-functionally with planners and receiving plants, you will play a critical role in minimizing supply chain disruptions and ensuring material availability. Key Responsibilities Purchase Order Management & Supplier Relations Monitor Group Mailboxes: Actively manage and document incoming PO confirmations via the designated work group mailbox. Supplier Follow-Up: Proactively reach out to suppliers who have not provided PO confirmations to ensure accurate delivery expectations. Past Due & Back Orders: Investigate and action past-due PO lines, updating the system with current ETAs and tracking information. Expedites & Root Cause Analysis: Assist with material expedites and conduct root-cause analysis for back orders, collaborating with suppliers to gather "get-well" information and recovery plans. System Operations & Inventory Control SAP/ECC Management: Manage all Purchase Orders placed through SAP/ECC as Stock Transport Orders (STOs). Delivery Verification: Accurately verify Delivery Note (DN) drops and Goods Issued within the ERP system. Action Tracking: Utilize internal reporting tools to prioritize daily work, document actions taken, and ensure accurate system data. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Discrepancy Resolution Planner Coordination: Work closely with Planners and Buyers to resolve discrepancies related to pricing and Unit of Measure (UOM). Assist with component status updates directly on the Planner Dashboard. Receiving Resolution: Collaborate directly with receiving plants to resolve inbound receiving discrepancies swiftly. Distribution Tracking: Partner with Distribution Planners to obtain back-order ETAs and track critical shipments. Team Support: Serve as reliable back-up support to manage daily tasks when a Planner or Buyer is absent. Qualifications & Requirements Education: High School Diploma, GED, or a technical certification in a related field.  Preferred Experience: Prior experience working with ERP and supply chain management software is highly desired. Specific experience with PRMS, ECC/SAP, or Kinaxis is strongly preferred.
