Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Rehabilitation specialty provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from illness or injury. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' clinical conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to support patient recovery.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication management, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Supervise and guide non-RN staff, including LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio or Ohio/Compact RN license verified through Nursys.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of LTC and/or Rehab RN experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including patience and tact with patients, families, and staff.
• Be proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, especially MediTech.
• Have reliable computer skills and the ability to adapt to work schedule changes, including on-call responsibilities.
