Cantonese Language Evaluator

Role Type: Contractor
Location: Remote

We are seeking native Cantonese speakers to contribute to a language-focused project supporting the development and evaluation of next-generation AI systems.

You'll use your Cantonese language expertise to assess text and speech, evaluate AI-generated outputs, and provide detailed linguistic feedback. No prior AI experience is required.

Scope of Work

• Evaluate Cantonese text and speech for accuracy, fluency, grammar, and contextual appropriateness.
• Review AI-generated language outputs and identify errors, ambiguities, and improvement opportunities.
• Perform data annotation, labeling, and categorization tasks.
• Apply established evaluation guidelines consistently across language samples.
• Collaborate with project leads to clarify evaluation criteria and resolve complex language cases.
• Document linguistic insights and recommendations to improve evaluation processes.
• Support additional language quality reviews based on project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Cantonese , including strong written and spoken communication.
• Experience in language evaluation, translation, linguistic annotation, transcription, or related language technology work.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Familiarity with content moderation or language quality assessment is a plus.
• Comfortable using online platforms and digital evaluation tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
