Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 6 months of Epic experience is required within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <40 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Summa Health (Direct) - Main Program.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Graduate of an A.M.A. or CoARC-approved program for Respiratory Therapists; registry eligible.

Preferred Credentials: - RRT preferred; CRT accepted if registry eligible and has appropriate experience.

Unit Details: - All-adult acute care at a Level 1 trauma center. - Performs respiratory/pulmonary procedures, administers medical gases and medications, and responds to emergencies and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. - Primary devices: PB 980 ventilator, PB 840 ventilator, V60 noninvasive ventilator, Epoc hand-held analyzer, and ParaPacPlus transport ventilator.

Shift & Scheduling: - Maximum RTO: 7 days.

7 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
