Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager Specialty Chemical Manufacturing Kansas City Metro Area I'm partnering with a well-established specialty chemical manufacturer located in the Kansas City metro area that is looking for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager . This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys being part of the operation—not sitting behind a desk. We're looking for a self-motivated, proactive leader who takes ownership, builds relationships on the plant floor, and continuously looks for ways to improve safety, compliance and operational performance. What You'll Do Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety programs for a specialty chemical manufacturing facility. Drive and strengthen the site's Process Safety Management (PSM) program. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA and environmental regulations. Lead occupational safety initiatives, risk assessments and incident investigations. Manage hazardous waste, air permitting and environmental reporting. Conduct safety training, audits and compliance inspections. Partner with operations, maintenance and laboratory personnel to improve safety performance. Support Management of Change (MOC), contractor safety, confined space, LOTO and emergency response programs. Promote a culture where safety and operational excellence go hand in hand. We're Looking For Someone Who... Has strong Process Safety Management (PSM) experience in a chemical or process manufacturing environment. Understands both process safety and occupational safety and knows the difference. Is a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what needs to be done. Is comfortable working independently while partnering with plant leadership. Builds credibility with operators, maintenance and management alike. Enjoys solving problems and driving continuous improvement. Has experience in chemical, specialty chemical, polymer, resin, coatings or similar process manufacturing. Why Consider This Opportunity?
