Occupational Therapist (OT) - Early Intervention

Medstaff Group is recruiting Early Intervention providers on behalf of an EI agency serving young children (birth to age five) and their families across Brooklyn.

We're looking for a NYS-licensed Occupational Therapist to provide Early Intervention services in Boro Park, Kensington, Flatbush, and Park Slope.

Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 occupational therapy evaluations and treatment sessions to children under 5
• Deliver services in the home, daycare, or another natural environment as assigned
• Document sessions and coordinate with the child's care team as required
• Maintain a flexible caseload across the neighborhoods listed above

Area notes
• Boro Park: coverage especially needed in the 40s-50s and all avenues; Yiddish-speaking is a plus but not required
• Kensington: no current OT coverage in this area
• Flatbush: additional OT providers needed; after-hours availability and home visits preferred
• Park Slope: occasional cases arise; no current OT coverage available

Qualifications
• NYS licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Experience providing services to children under 5 required (Early Intervention); general pediatric experience alone is not sufficient
• Comfortable with home-based and daycare-based visits

All candidates - whether DOH-approved or not - must have specific experience working with children under five. General pediatric experience alone is not sufficient. Candidates with a year or more of experience specifically with young children are preferred; a therapist who is experienced but not yet with this age group may be considered for mentorship.
