Adaptive Biotechnologies

Adaptive Biotechnologies seeks a Counsel to join its Legal Compliance team, providing compliance guidance and contract support for the clonoSEQ diagnostic assay. The role advises on regulatory matters, negotiates laboratory and EMR agreements, and partners across departments to manage healthcare compliance risks.

Responsibilities

Advise business teams on compliance with diagnostic assay regulations and healthcare professional interactions
Draft, review, and negotiate laboratory services and EMR integration agreements
Lead risk mitigation efforts and ensure compliance with government contract requirements
Partner with privacy, commercial, and cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks
Maintain current knowledge of evolving regulations, OIG/DOJ guidance, and industry standards

Requirements

Juris Doctorate from accredited law school; active U.S. state bar membership
5+ years in-house or law firm compliance and transactional legal counsel experience
Knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or laboratory industry regulations and laws
Ability to travel 3-5 times annually for meetings and audits
Familiarity with antikickback, fraud and abuse, and transparency laws preferred
Experience with government contracting terms (FARs, DFARs) preferred
