Payroll Specialist Responsible for end‑to‑end payroll processing with accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality for both domestic and international payroll functions. What You'll Achieve Systems and Processes Process accurate semi‑monthly and monthly payrolls for multi‑state domestic and international entities. Handle manual checks, final checks, and off‑cycle payrolls as needed. Balance payrolls, prepare compliance reports, and reconcile garnishments, 401(k) administration, and standard and ad‑hoc reports. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and labor regulations. Manage payroll tax filings, payments, W-2s, and other required reporting. Serve as escalation point for complex payroll inquiries and issue resolution. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and system efficiency. Collaborate with Accounting on monthly payroll audits and compliance reviews. Provide clear communication to vendors and internal teams regarding deadlines. Client Service and Stakeholder Engagement Maintain relationships and partner closely with People Operations to ensure accurate pay structure. Work cross‑functionally with internal teams to guarantee timely payroll processing. Act as main point of contact for employee payroll and 401(k) questions, responding promptly. Maintain a customer‑first mindset, seeking solutions for internal and external clients. Handle additional payroll activities required for quarterly and year‑end reporting. Perform other duties, projects, and ad‑hoc requests as assigned. Skills You'll Bring BA degree preferred (certifications may substitute). Minimum of 5+ years of payroll experience in a multi‑state environment. Experience with ADP Workforce Now or other HRIS platforms. Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, wage‑and‑hour regulations. High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Confidential handling of sensitive information. Collaboration across HR, Accounting, and Finance partners.
