Temporary Legal Assistant – Trial Support (Part-Time)

Location : San Jose, CA (Onsite)
Pay Rate : $35–$45/hour DOE
Duration : Approximately 2–3 weeks
Start Date : Sunday, November 1, 2026 (Introduction Meeting)
Schedule: Monday, 11/2 for jury selection; thereafter Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, approximately 9:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Position Overview

Our Irvine Client is seeking a Temporary Legal Assistant to provide onsite administrative and document support during an upcoming trial in San Jose.

This is a short-term assignment expected to last approximately 2–3 weeks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional environment, managing electronic documents, and providing administrative assistance as needed throughout the trial.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite administrative and document support to two attorneys throughout the trial.
• Locate, retrieve, and display electronic documents on a laptop as requested by the attorneys.
• Organize and manage electronic files to ensure documents are readily accessible.
• Print, copy, and prepare documents and materials as needed.
• Assist with Microsoft Word and Excel documents, including reviewing, updating, and organizing information.
• Respond promptly to attorney requests and help ensure trial materials are available when needed..
• Provide additional administrative and logistical support throughout the trial as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to navigate electronic files and folders efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize requests, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, dependable, and comfortable working directly with attorneys.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Prior experience in a legal office, administrative support, or document management role preferred but not required.
• Must be available for the duration of the trial, including an introductory meeting on Sunday, November
