Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to understand the mental health needs of patients, developing tailored treatment plans based on individual goals.

• Educate clients and their families on coping mechanisms for stress and trauma, providing them with essential tools for managing their mental health.

• Monitor patient progress and make modifications to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal care.

• Coordinate with a range of social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to ensure comprehensive support for each patient.

• Stay abreast of the latest practices and developments in the field by completing continuing education courses to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification.

• Provide regular check-ins, offer appropriate referrals, and support patients through assessments of their current mental state.

• Collaborate with team members to deliver the best possible patient care and continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who are experiencing mental health issues alongside substance use disorders. This population may include those who are mentally ill, developmentally disabled, or emotionally disturbed. Your expertise will help clients navigate their unique challenges while fostering an atmosphere of trust and safety in their recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.

• Must be independently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of practice.

• Proficient in modern technology, particularly Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including timely documentation and note-taking.

• Current state license and residency in California are necessary.
